Look up your loan in MERS

If your deed of trust names MERS, the free MERS ServicerID site can show the current servicer and sometimes the investor.

   Find the MIN

   Look near the top of the deed of trust for an 18-digit “MIN”.

   Search MERS ServicerID

   Go to mers-servicerid.org and search by MIN, or by property address and owner name.

3. 3

   Record what it shows

   Write down the servicer and investor shown (if the investor agreed to be listed) and the date you checked.
