Techoclaro
All 50 states + DC · free · in English and Spanish

A clear roof over your head starts with a clear case.

Techoclaro reads the letters the bank sent you, finds what is wrong or missing, shows you the law behind every date, and builds a file a lawyer can pick up in minutes. You stay in charge.

Start with the letter you received

Nationwide: the basics of every state's foreclosure and tax-sale rules, each with its source. Deepest in Texas, where every date is computed from your own papers. See your state's rules

How it works

Four steps. You can stop at any of them and hand the file to a lawyer.

Most people only know they are in trouble because a letter arrived. So that is where Techoclaro starts.

  1. Bring your papers

Photograph the notice, the deed of trust, your payment history. We tell you what each one is.

  2. We read them, line by line

Each fact we use is pinned to a page and a marked spot on your own document, so you can check it yourself.

  3. See the law behind every date

Deadlines, defects and the statute for each — with the strongest argument the other side would make, too.

  4. Act — or hand it over

Send a notice of error, ask for a payoff, request a postponement, or export the whole file for legal aid.

What Techoclaro is

  • A workbench. Notices, dates, payments and defects for one foreclosure, in one place, so nothing gets missed.
  • A source-first record. Nothing is shown unless it points to a law or to a page of your own document.
  • Free, and yours. Keep the file and hand it to a lawyer or legal aid at any moment.
  • Bilingual from the first line. English and Spanish are equals here.

What it is not

  • Not a law firm, not your lawyer. It cannot and will not give legal advice about your case.
  • Not a promise. No app can promise you will keep your home — this one will not pretend to.
  • Not a guess. A countdown appears only after we read a real date off a document you gave us.

Example — Texas: 21 days. That is the minimum notice Texas law gives you before a sale — and the clock is checkable.

Every state has its own clock. In Texas, Techoclaro measures it from the notice you upload, shows the page it came from, and tells you when the count does not add up. For other states we show the rule, its source and how sure we are of it.

The rule, as writtenTex. Prop. Code § 51.002(b) — notice of sale must be given at least 21 days before the date of sale.

What it costs

Free tells you the truth. Paid does the work with you.

The free plan never runs out and never asks for a card. The paid plans are for people who want the papers written, the dates managed, and a helper in the loop — or who want to stay protected long before any letter ever arrives.

A Texas foreclosure-defense retainer commonly runs $1,500–$5,000 before anything is even filed. A HUD counselor is free but hard to book. Every paid Techoclaro plan costs less per month than one hour of attorney time — and it makes that hour count.

The fine print, in plain words

  • Billed monthly. Cancel anytime — no contracts.
  • Not right for you? Full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.
  • Can't pay? A verified referral from a legal aid organization or HUD counselor gets you Gold free for 90 days.
  • No fee here is ever conditioned on an outcome. You pay for tools and help, never for a result.

Questions homeowners ask us

Straight answers

Is this a law firm?

No. Techoclaro is a self-help tool. It is not a law firm and is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney (Texas Government Code § 81.101(c)). If you can get a lawyer or legal aid, we'll help you prepare everything to hand to them.

What do you do with my documents?

We use them only to build your case — reading them, finding your deadlines, and generating your findings and letters. We never sell them or share them with anyone else, and you can delete them at any time.

What if I can't pay?

The entire foreclosure case builder is free, forever, for anyone facing foreclosure — no paid plan required, ever. If you also want a paid plan and can't afford it, a verified legal aid or HUD referral gets you Gold free for 90 days.

Does anyone at Techoclaro talk to my lender?

Never. We work for you, not your lender or servicer, and we never contact them on your behalf without you directing it yourself.

When can I buy a paid plan?

Soon. Everything on the free plan works today. When the paid plans open, you'll be able to upgrade from inside your account; nothing you've added will be lost.

Where you are

Choose your state

Foreclosure law is different in every state. Pick yours and Techoclaro shows the rules we have researched for it — each with its source and how sure we are — and remembers your choice on this device.

Our rules

How we keep this honest

  1. Every legal fact we show you is checked against the real text of a statute, rule, or court decision we store — not a summary written from memory.
  2. If something can't be verified against real law or your own documents, we say so plainly instead of guessing.
  3. Every finding shows the lender's strongest counter-argument too, not just your side.
  4. When an AI writes something, you'll see a label that tells you so.
  5. We never promise an outcome, because no honest tool can.
Texas — deepest coverage

Texas: the details

These facts come from the statute itself, not from us. Every point below is verified against the real text of Texas Property Code § 51.002.

  • A foreclosure sale must be a public auction at the county courthouse (or another place the county has designated).
  • It must happen on the first Tuesday of the month, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • If that Tuesday falls on January 1 or July 4, the sale moves to Wednesday instead.
  • You must get at least 21 days' written notice of the sale.
  • If it's your home, you must also get a separate 20-day notice giving you a chance to cure the default — before that 21-day sale notice can be sent.
