  1. 1

    Find your county’s appraisal district

Search “[your county] appraisal district property search”.

  2. 2

Search by address or account number

The account number is on your property tax statement.

  3. 3

    Check owner, exemptions and value

Is the owner name right (for example after a death or divorce)? Is the homestead exemption on? Note the market value — it is an estimate, not a sale price.

  4. 4

    Copy the legal description

Compare it with the notice of sale; the case map can flag mismatches.

You search your own records. Techoclaro does not look up people.
