Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 24, 2026 · Techoclaro LLC
Draft pending attorney review. This text may change before it is final; we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
What you may and may not do on Techoclaro. Use it honestly, for your own situation or with permission, and never to harm or take advantage of homeowners.
1. 1. Why we have this policy
Techoclaro helps people who are often under a lot of stress — facing a foreclosure, a tax sale, debt collectors or credit problems. This policy keeps the Service safe and honest for them.
It applies to everyone who uses Techoclaro, including homeowners, people helping a homeowner, and PRO organizations and their staff. It is part of our Terms of Service. PRO organizations also have extra rules in the PRO Organization Terms.
2. 2. Use it for your own situation, or with permission
- Use the Service for your own home, debts and credit, or to help someone who has asked you to help them.
- To work on someone else’s case, have them invite you to it, or — for PRO organizations — get their real consent first. Do not sign in as another person.
- Do not upload another person’s documents or personal information (such as their Social Security number, account numbers or credit report) unless you have a legal right or their permission to do so.
- If the person you are helping revokes your access, stop using their information.
3. 3. Never use Techoclaro to take advantage of homeowners
You may not use the Service, its content or its name to:
- run or promote a foreclosure-rescue, loan-modification, debt-relief or credit-repair scheme that charges illegal advance fees or promises results;
- tell anyone that Techoclaro, a government agency, a court, a lender or a servicer approves, guarantees or is connected to your services when that is not true;
- pressure a homeowner to sign over their deed, pay you instead of their lender, stop talking to their lender or a lawyer, or give up any right;
- charge a homeowner for access to Techoclaro’s free tools, or resell our free content; or
- collect homeowners’ information to sell, to generate leads, or to contact them for services they did not ask for.
If someone uses Techoclaro’s name to ask you for money to “stop” a foreclosure, please tell us at privacy@techoclaro.com. Free help exists: legal aid offices and HUD-approved housing counselors do not charge homeowners.
4. 4. Be honest in your letters and documents
Letters and documents you make with Techoclaro go to real people: servicers, lenders, debt collectors, credit bureaus, tax offices, HOAs and courts. You must not use the Service to:
- make false statements, or send a letter you know is untrue;
- create, change or forge a document, signature, notice, court paper or government form;
- dispute information on a credit report that you know is accurate, or claim identity theft that did not happen;
- file or send papers meant only to delay, harass or threaten someone, or that you know have no legal basis — including “sovereign citizen,” “vapor money” or similar made-up legal theories; or
- pretend to be a lawyer, a court, a government agency or anyone else.
Techoclaro prepares credit disputes only for items you say are wrong. When you approve a letter for us to mail, you confirm that it is true and that you want it sent.
5. 5. Nothing illegal or harmful
Do not use the Service to:
- break any law, or help someone else break the law (including fraud, identity theft or money laundering);
- harass, threaten, stalk, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
- upload content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or that exploits children in any way;
- upload content that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or privacy; or
- upload viruses, malware or anything designed to harm devices or data.
6. 6. Do not break, overload or copy the Service
You may not:
- try to get into accounts, cases, notes or data you are not allowed to see, or get around sign-in, permission, consent or payment controls;
- probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission;
- overload the Service, get around rate limits, or use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access it, except for normal search-engine indexing of public pages;
- copy, scrape or republish our guides, state information, case library or other content in bulk, or use it to build a competing product or train an AI model;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or copy our software, except where the law clearly allows it; or
- share, sell or transfer your account, sign-in links or codes.
If you find a security problem, please report it to privacy@techoclaro.com and do not use or share it. We appreciate good-faith reports.
7. 7. Using the AI features
- Do not try to trick an AI feature into ignoring its rules, revealing hidden instructions or other people’s information, or producing content this policy does not allow.
- Do not present AI output from Techoclaro as advice from a lawyer, or as a statement by Techoclaro that a result will happen.
- Do not send automated or bulk requests to AI features.
Read the AI Disclosure to understand what the AI features can and cannot do.
8. 8. Messages, reminders and invitations
- Add a person’s email address or phone number for reminders or messages only if it is theirs to give, or they agreed to it. Reminders are sent only to people who gave consent on that channel.
- Do not use invitations, reminders, workspace email or any other feature to send spam, advertising or messages people did not ask for.
- Follow our SMS Terms for text messages.
9. 9. Partners and professionals
- Partners who share Techoclaro links must clearly disclose that they may earn a commission, must never promise results, and must never charge homeowners a fee to use Techoclaro.
- Professionals may use Techoclaro in their work — one case at a time on the free plan, or with many clients through PRO — but may not resell access or present Techoclaro as part of their own branded service without our written permission.
10. 10. How to report a problem
If you see something on Techoclaro that breaks this policy — or someone misusing Techoclaro’s name — write to privacy@techoclaro.com. Tell us what happened, where, and when. You do not need an account to report a problem.
If you are in danger, call 911. If a sale date is close, contact free legal aid or a HUD-approved housing counselor right away.
11. 11. What we may do
If we reasonably believe this policy was broken, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- warn you or ask you to fix the problem;
- stop a letter from being mailed, or remove or disable content;
- limit features, or suspend or close an account or a PRO organization; and
- report illegal activity to the proper authorities when the law requires or allows it.
We try to act fairly and in proportion. When we can, and when it is safe and lawful, we will tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond. Your own case information stays available for you to download unless the law or safety requires otherwise.
12. 12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Important changes are announced as described in our Terms of Service.
