SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Effective September 24, 2026 · Techoclaro LLC

Draft pending attorney review. This text may change before it is final; we will post the new version here with a new effective date.

How Techoclaro uses text messages: sign-in codes you ask for, and case deadline reminders only if you turn them on. Reply STOP (or ALTO) to stop and HELP (or AYUDA) for help. Message and data rates may apply.

1. The program

Program name: Techoclaro. The text messaging program is run by Techoclaro LLC, a Texas limited liability company, 1341 W. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75247 (“Techoclaro,” “we,” “us”). These terms apply to every text message (SMS) we send to your mobile phone. They are part of our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your phone number.

By entering your mobile number and asking for a code, or by turning on text reminders, you agree to these terms.

2. What messages we send

We send only these kinds of text messages:

  • Sign-in verification codes. When you enter your mobile number on our sign-in page and ask for a code, we text you one six-digit code. It expires in 10 minutes. We send a code only when you (or someone typing your number) asks for one, and no more than one per minute.
  • Case deadline reminders, only if you turn them on. If you choose text message as a reminder channel for your case and give your consent for that number, we text you reminders about dates on your case timeline (for example, “a deadline is in 3 days”). Each reminder names the date and the legal source it comes from. We do not send reminders by text unless consent for that number is on file, and we hold them during any quiet hours you set.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. We do not text people whose addresses we find in public records, and we do not buy or rent phone lists. Credit Health and Collections Defense reminders are sent by email, not by text.

3. How often

Message frequency varies. Sign-in codes are sent only when you request them (one message per request). Reminder frequency depends on how many dates are on your case timeline and the reminder times you choose; often it is a few messages for each deadline, and none when no deadline is coming up.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Techoclaro does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for messages you send or receive, according to your plan. Ask your carrier if you are not sure.

5. How to stop text messages

Reply STOP to any message to stop. You can also reply ALTO, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, PARAR or CANCELAR. You will receive one final message confirming that you are unsubscribed, and we will send no more reminders to that number.

A STOP reply withdraws text-message consent for that number on every case it is used for, and it is recorded right away. You can also turn off text reminders at any time in your case settings.

To start again, reply START (or UNSTOP, YES, SI or EMPEZAR), or turn text reminders back on in your settings. If you replied STOP and later want a sign-in code by text, you may need to reply START first so your carrier and our messaging provider let the code through. You can always sign in by email instead.

6. How to get help

Reply HELP (or AYUDA or INFO) to any message for help. You can also email us at privacy@techoclaro.com or write to Techoclaro LLC, 1341 W. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75247.

Text messages from Techoclaro are not legal advice. Techoclaro is not a law firm. See our Legal Information Disclaimer.

8. Privacy of your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We share your number only with the service provider that delivers our text messages, and only so it can deliver them. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest, including how long we keep records and how to ask us to delete them.

9. Delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messages depend on your phone, your coverage and your carrier, and they can be late or never arrive. Do not rely on a text message as your only reminder of a legal deadline: check your timeline in Techoclaro and the papers you received.

We send these messages by standard SMS text message to US mobile numbers. We do not currently send them through WhatsApp or other messaging apps. If that changes, we will update these terms first.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects what messages we send you, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it. See also our Communications & Opt-Out Policy.
