Get your free credit reports
Federal law gives you free reports from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion through one official site: AnnualCreditReport.com. The bureaus now offer them free every week.
Education and self-help. Techoclaro is not a law firm or a credit repair company. We help you use your legal rights to dispute errors and demand proof; accurate information can stay on your report, and no one can promise a result.
- Go to AnnualCreditReport.com — type it yourself. Other sites with similar names may try to sell you something.
- Choose “Request your free credit reports”, fill in your name, address, date of birth and Social Security number, and answer the identity questions.
- Choose all three bureaus. You can take them one at a time.
- On each report page, choose “Download” or “Print” and save it as a PDF. If you cannot download, open the report and copy all its text.
- Come back here and upload the PDF (or paste the text). Upload each bureau separately — they are often different.
- Keep your copies. Mark this date: a dispute sent after a free annual report gives the bureau up to 45 days to answer.
You never have to pay for these reports or give a credit card. If a site asks for payment, you are not on the official site.
